Our new 75 barrel brewhouse opened on Friday 13th October 2006. The symbolic padlock was cut by original owner, John Wood, who left Oakham Ales way back in 1995.

During 2007 the old 35 barrel plant based at the Brewery Tap was only used sparingly and the decision was taken to sell this plant and install a smaller showpiece brewhouse for special one off brews and selected Oakademy beers. The start of 2008 saw the launch of Inferno our fourth permanent ale, shortly followed by the launch of our new pump clip range, based on the Oakham Ales logo.

2009 saw us pick up the award for National Winter Beers Champion for Attila 7.5%. In January of this year we launched our Oakademy of Excellence for our permanent stockists which continues to go from strength to strength with nearly 250 members countrywide. Numerous awards have been won over the years with JHB 3.8% picking up the Supreme Champion Beer Award back in 2001. The popularity of our beers continues to grow with our distinct hoppiness and great flavours.

The last few years have seen the company’s bottled ale business expand rapidly, with several of its selection now available in Waitrose and M&S. Oakham Ales is also now starting to export its bottled beer range to the US, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Slovenia and Ireland.
