A Micro-Brewery with distinction

The Brewery Tap was originally built as a labour exchange but after being vacant for many years was converted into a multi award winning pub and micro-brewery, claiming to make it the largest brewpub in Europe.

Inside its spacious open plan layout, you are likely to find up to 12 real ales, a wide range of draught products and bottled beers, wines, cocktails and soft drinks.  Thai cuisine is freshly prepared and cooked by experienced Thai chefs. The layout of the pub enables customers to relax and watch their food being prepared in the kitchen, before being served to their table. The menu consists of A La Carte, Snacks, Set Menus, and a choice of Buffets to cater for parties of any size.

The Brewery Tap has a reputation for attracting various age groups from near and far satisfying various tastes.  There is a large dance floor downstairs where you can boogie the night away, or you can sit and relax on one of our leather sofas which make it increasingly difficult to want to leave.

The tap was named “OWN BREW PUB 2009” and has received many glowing reviews for food, beer, and service from local press and national press. It is featured in all of the Good Pub Guides and in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide. The list of awards is vast and on display in the venue including a Gold Award from the local CAMRA branch for improving the service, redecorating and making the pub more female friendly. In 2007 The Brewery Tap was awarded by the Morning Advertiser as “Best Free House, Best Sociably Responsible, and Best Cask Beer”.

The Brewery Tap is one of the safest, and best late night venues in Peterborough.  It continues to go from strength to strength but despite this, it is still at risk of being demolished due to the proposed re-development of the North Westgate area.
